COVID-19 - Getting back to ‘normal’ in a post-COVID world

COVID restrictions were lifted in England on 27th January 2022, meaning an end to almost two years of living with lockdowns, traffic light systems, shielding, mandatory face coverings, and being required to show a COVID passport to attend certain events or go on holiday.

No one can know for certain when life will return to normal following the pandemic, not least because the situation keeps changing, such as the emergence of new variants.

The best way to get back to normal and to protect you and your loved ones is to ensure that you’ve taken the opportunity to get vaccinated (and don’t forget to get your booster). It's never too late to get your vaccine. There are a number of conveniently located vaccination centres in and around Hull and East Yorkshire, it’s free to attend, and with East Yorkshire Buses you can even get free travel to and from selected locations.
