Reporting hate crime

Reporting hate crime

Being you isn't a crime! If anyone targets you because of your race, sex, ethnicity, disability, age, sexual orientation or gender identity, even your appearance or the way you dress, you may be the victim of a Hate Crime.

Hate crimes / hate incidents can take place anywhere and no-one should have to live with the fear, anxiety and consequences of hate.

Reporting it when it happens means the police can investigate it, and it may prevent similar incidents happening to someone else. It will also help the police understand the extent of hate crime across local communities, so they can respond better at a local level.
