The East Riding Clinical Commissioning Group Annual General Meeting to be held on 17 September 2019

The NHS East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group is extending an invitation to patients and the public to join them for their Annual General Meeting (AGM) which takes place in Goole next month.

Jane Hawkard, Chief Officer of the CCG said: “When NHS England released their annual assessment of CCGs for 2018/19 we were delighted to have maintained our ‘Good’ rating for the second year running. Our AGM will offer us the opportunity to look back at some of our key highlights during this year, and also some of the projects we are working closely with our partners on. This includes the development of Primary Care Networks, improvements in accessing musculoskeletal therapy and the implementation of the East Riding mental health and dementia strategy.

“Our financial plan was met for the 2018/19 year against the backdrop of a challenging financial environment. We will discuss our financial performance from the last year at our AGM, including how our budget was spent, and also look towards our future financial forecast.

“The AGM will draw to a close with a question and answers session, giving colleagues, our partners and the general public a chance to have their questions answered by our panel. To help us to answer as many questions as possible and to avoid repetition, we will be taking questions in advance; however we will open the session up to the room for a few final questions, time permitting. If you are planning on attending the AGM and would like to submit your question, please send it in an email to ERYCCG.ContactUs@nhs.net.”

Dr Anne Jeffreys, local GP and Clinical Chairperson of the CCG, added: “I’m delighted to be welcoming local people to our upcoming AGM in my first year as Clinical Chairperson. We will be reflecting on the successes and challenges of this year as well as showcasing the hard work of our committed staff and partners reflected in our continued ‘Good’ rating from NHS England.

“The AGM offers us a great opportunity to engage with our public and patients directly and share with them what they want to know about healthcare in our area. It’s also an opportunity for us to discuss our ambitions for the future.”

NHS ~East Riding of Yorkshire CCG’s AGM is set to take place at The Courtyard in Goole on Tuesday 17 September. Attendees can register from 4.30pm, with the meeting beginning at 5pm and is expected to close by 7pm.
