Across the Humber area, local health and care organisations are working in partnership to improve services for local people. We are working together to find new ways of improving the health and wellbeing of local people through transforming care and support in our communities.
As part of this work, we are looking at how to provide the best possible hospital services for the people of the Humber area and make the best use of the money, staff and buildings that are available to us. The five acute hospitals in the Humber area we will be reviewing are:
- Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby
- Scunthorpe General Hospital
- Goole Hospital
- Hull Royal Infirmary
- Castle Hill Hospital
The Humber Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership are looking for a number of enthusiastic local people to join a Citizen’s Panel, which will listen to information about the challenges facing our local health system and ensure the voice and views of the community are heard around the proposals for change. The East Riding of Yorkshire has been allocated 4 places to fill with representatives from our area.
The panel will meet for three sessions and it has been agreed that the first meeting will take place on 12th December, 12.30pm-2.30pm at the Ropewalk in Barton.
To find out more information on the role, please click here.
If you are interested in taking part or you have a representative within you PPG whom you think may be interested, please apply via email to ERYCCG.ContactUs@nhs.net by 12pm on Friday 7th December 2018, places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
We do appreciate this is very short notice, however your engagement is vital to ensuring the voices of residents living within the East Riding are heard.
