NHS East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is inviting patients and public to attend its 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) next month.
The AGM will provide an opportunity for those interested in finding out more about the CCG’s highlights from the previous year, as well as looking forward to healthcare plans for the future.
Gina Palumbo, Local GP and Chair of NHS East Riding of Yorkshire CCG said, “It is always a pleasure to welcome our local population to our AGM each year.
“This year we will be taking a look back at some of our highlights during 2016 and 2017, with a key focus on good work and progress made in primary care, care homes and reducing prescribing costs presented by our lead GPs. As well as looking back we will also look forward and talk about our plans for the next year and beyond.”
Before closing, there will be a 30 minute question and answers session with a panel made up of senior CCG members and local GPs, questions are requested in advance of the event and can be submitted to ERYCCG.ContactUs@NHS.net.
One member of the panel facing questions will be Jane Hawkard, Chief Officer of East Riding of Yorkshire CCG, “The AGM gives us a chance to showcase the good work the CCG is carrying out to improve patient care and experience for local people and what challenges may lie ahead, and the question and answers session gives us a chance to listen and hear what the local public want to know about healthcare in the county.
“We have asked for some questions in advance to help us answer as many as possible, but there will be an opportunity to put further questions forward at the end and we will be available following the meeting to have individual conversations with members of the Public”
East Riding of Yorkshire CCG’s AGM will take place at the Memorial Hall in Beverley on 19 September from 5pm until 7pm, with registration starting from 4.30pm.
