Working Together - promoting healthy independent ageing event
Significant engagement has taken place around the setting of the CCG’s priorities with GPs, stakeholders, patients and public through Locality Commissioning Forums (LCFs), Working Together events, and public forums.
A Working Together event was held on 1 March 2013, looking at promoting healthy independent ageing in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Nationally, people with long term conditions currently account for £7.00 out of every £10.00 spent in the NHS, as well as making up 50% of all GP appointments; 65% of all outpatient appointments and over 72% of all patient stays on hospital wards. This event explored what we can all do to meet current and future health and social care demands.
